About

Though she has helped shape and influence the modern fabric and quilting scene with her now-shuttered blog True Up, at heart Kim is a traditional quilter. From the time she started sewing, she has collected vintage fabrics and feedsacks. As a designer with Ruby Star Society, she is bringing back her very favorite prints from the past for a new generation of sewers to enjoy. She mixes in original prints to help tell her stories. Her fabrics are designed with timelessness in mind, and are meant to appeal to many tastes and play well with other fabrics.

Kim is also the author of A Field Guide to Fabric Design (Stash Books, 2011).

Kim lives in Dripping Springs, Texas (“the gateway to the Hill Country” outside of Austin).
